The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.
Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
