The thrilling 11-inning contest where the Dodgers beat the Toronto Blue Jays by one run attracted a aggregate 51 million viewers across the US, Canada, and Japanese territories. MLB stated this is the highest-rated World Series Game 7 after the 1991 contest between the Twins and Atlanta Braves.

The Saturday epic game drew 27.33M audience members on Fox Sports channels, its Spanish-language channel and Fox’s digital services. According to ratings data, it was the second highest-rated program of the previous week.

It also is the most-watched World Series game since the 2017 final game involving the Dodgers and Houston Astros, which drew 29.07 million. This marks a 16% improvement compared to the last finale between the Washington Nationals and Astros, which drew 23.19 million viewers.

In the weekly rankings, the sixth game placed 4th, the fourth game ranked seventh, Game 5 came in 8th, and the third game finished in 13th place.

Global Viewership Figures

In Japan, where the final game began at 9 p.m. local time, it drew 12M. This followed last Friday’s sixth game – in which World Series Most Valuable Player Yamamoto gave up a single run in six innings – drew 13.1 million spectators, making it the highest-rated Fall Classic matchup on a sole broadcaster in Japan.
